In the events leading up to the capture of “The Garbage Thief,” there were several clues left behind that unnoticed for a rather long time. Whether the managers mostly responsible for investigating who the main culprit was knew of some of them or not, it still took months to actually find out.
It’s alleged that the crime started in March of that year, or at least the end of February. This can be attributed to the fact that “The Professor” left for a job promotion around the same time. After her departure, “The Misplaced One” was installed as the new store manager.
That’s when the number of stolens started to increase drastically. Again, stolens are basically empty packages found within a store. They can be empty boxes, bags or anything of that nature. When this started occurring, it was definitely a warning sign of what was to come.
Boxes also started appearing in the walls in hidden places. They were full boxes of shoes and they were clearly misplaced. Both associates and managers found these and it was questionable, to the say the very least.
Over time, the aforementioned occurrences happened frequently and everyone started to feel like something sinister was definitely going on. Unfortunately though, no one realized how serious it would become…
